Three weeks into the Apertura season and we have already seen our first managerial casualty as Colo Colo manager, Diego Cagna tendered his resignation after Los Albos were thrashed 5-1 by Universidad de Concepcion in the Estadio Monumental which currently leaves them in last place in the table.
After three rounds there are now only two unbeaten teams in the form of Universidad de Chile and Unión La Calera. The former maintained its unbeaten start with a convincing 4-1 win over Cobreloa whilst the latter pulled off one of the upsets of the round by defeating the previously undefeated Universidad Catolica 2-1 on home turf. The last game of the round saw Audax Italiano break its duck with a 3-2 win over Cobresal thanks in part to a brace from Facundo Pereyra.
