Católica triumph in Porto Alegre

Hands up if you scored a goal

Universidad Católica are in the box seat of their Copa Libertadores Round of 16 knockout tie against Brazilian side Gremio after defeating the home side 2-1 in Porto Alegre.

In what was a fairly ill tempered encounter it was a brace from striker, Lucas Pratto that gave los cruzados the advantage going into the second leg of the tie next week in the Chilean capital. To make matters worse for the Brazilians, they will be without striker, Borges, who was sent off in the 34th minute after he elbowed Católica’s David Henríquez in the head in an off the ball incident.
