Copa Sudamericana 2011: Fénix 0-0 U. de Chile

Universidad de Chile became the third Chilean team to qualify for the second round of the Copa Sudamericana after drawing 0-0 with Uruguayan side, Fénix in Montevideo and winning the tie 1-0 on aggregate.

The match provided few highlights although La “U” had Guillermo Marino sent off in the 36th minute for headbutting his opponent but the advantage that Fénix held disappeared in the 53rd minute as Gonzalo Papa picked up his second yellow card for the night.

Next up for Universidad de Chile is another Uruguayan opponent in the form of Nacional de Montevideo.
