Squad for European September friendlies announced

Claudio Borghi has named a 24-man squad for upcoming friendlies in September in Europe against Spain and Mexico in the lead-up to Chile’s first round of World Cup qualifiers.

Whilst the vast majority of the squad is as per that for the last friendly against France, there are call-ups for locally based players Fernando Meneses, Charles Aránguiz, Miguel Aceval and the recently naturalised Gustavo Canales gets his first call-up with Humberto Suazo a somewhat surprising omission.
