Rangers de Talca became the second team to be promoted to the Primera Division after drawing 3-3 with Everton in the second leg of their promotion playoff courtesy of the away goals rule after the first leg had been tied at 1-1.
It was an 81st minute equaliser from José Tabares which ensure Rangers would be in the Primera Division next year in what was an enthralling encounter between the two teams. That goal combined with ones from Christian Durán and Cristián Milla cancelled out the hat-trick from Everton’s Luis Alberto Perea to see the side from Talca return to the Primera Division for the first time since 2009.
Everton for their part have a second bite at the cherry taking on Primera Division side Unión San Felipe to see who will play in the top flight next year.
