Campeonato de Apertura 2012: Round 2 fixtures

Both Universidad de Chile and Cobreloa belatedly kick off their Apertura campaigns in Round 2 this weekend whilst rivals Universidad Católica will look to build on a first up win and Colo Colo look to get their first three points of the season.

Universidad de Concepción and Audax Italiano kick off the second round of the season on Friday night with both teams looking for their first wins of the year. Saturday sees four matches take place with Palestino looking to bounce back from a first up lost when they host Huachipato in the day’s first game. Following that game Universidad Católica will look to make it two wins in a row when they take on Santiago Wanderers. The final two matches for Saturday feature the other two of the big three as Universidad de Chile play their first match of the season as they travel to La Serena and Colo Colo host O’Higgins.

Sunday sees a battle of the north as Antofagasta host Iquique whilst fellow northerners Cobreloa kick off their campaign with a match against Unión La Calera later in the day. Unión Española will looking to build on their impressive first up win against Cobresal and Unión San Felipe finish off the round against Rangers.
