Campeonato de Apertura 2012: Round 11 fixtures

In a round condensed by Easter the highlights include the match up between Unión Española and Colo Colo and an enticing encounter between Universidad de Chile and Santiago Wanderers.

With the eleventh round taking place over the Easter weekend all matches take place on Saturday and Sunday. The round starts off with a bang as Unión Española host Colo Colo and with both teams having up and down seasons to date it is sure to be an interesting affair. O’Higgins will be looking to maintain their second position behind Universidad de Chile as they host Unión San Felipe whilst fourth placed Iquique host La Serena and Universidad de Concepción take on Palestino. Rangers de Talca will be looking to bounce back from last round’s loss to Universidad de Chile when they host Unión La Calera, who had a win over the aforementioned Unión Española. In the day’s last match Audax Italiano travel north to taken on Antofagasta.

Sunday sees the match of the round take place as Universidad de Chile look to make it seven wins in a row against third placed Santiago Wanderers, who have also been in good form of late. The day’s first match sees the lowly Cobresal look to build on their first win of the season as they host the high flying Huachipato. The round’s action comes to an end as Universidad Católica host Cobreloa, whose manager Nelson Acosta resigned during the week.
